Today we are proud to be part of 4T-Tech Transfer Think Tank 2020 on Innovation 4 Health

We are participating today in the seventh edition of 4T-Tech Transfer Think Tank, the most important Italian event focused on technology transfer, organized by Jacobacci & Partners and Università Statale di Milano. This year’s seminar is about the importance of tech transfer for innovative health during the Covid-19 global emergency. Since our company operates in the healthcare sector and innovation is of one our key features, we are very glad to have been chosen as experts on these subjects.

Today a panel of experts – among them, our CEO Luca Emili, Gaia Panina from Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Fabio Santini from Microsoft – will talk about the new challenges brought about by the sanitary emergency. The goal is to find out how public and private, universities and research centers, hospitals and companies can unite their efforts to develop innovative solutions in the medical and pharmaceutical field, thus contributing to the well-being of the community.

Luca centered his speech on the importance of simulation to fasten the development, certification and go-to-market of new drugs and medical devices: the current pandemic has shown the necessity to speed up the production of new drugs in order to be able to treat Covid-19 patients. The most effective way to do this is using simulation in the way other safety critical industries did in the past, with a remarkable ROI. This allows to speed up development without lowering security standards, on the contrary, we can reduce the risks linked to innovation.

Luca also talked about the uniqueness of our in-cloud platform that allows scientists to work from any place around the world, even from their own homes: this is perfect now that remote working has become the new normal. Crowdscience is another interesting chapter of this video interview: InSilicoTrials is able to create a unique bridge between scientists and researchers that develop new complex computational models and the industry that can actually use them.
